The Beijing National Convention Center is located in the north of the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube, which was the main press center of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the International Broadcasting Center and the Olympic fencing Center. It was the main news center for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
The National Convention Center is equipped with 40,000 square meters of exhibition venues, and in 2013, the utilization rate of its ground exhibition hall was as high as 81%, which is rare in domestic and foreign pavilions. The National Convention Center has undertaken AHma German Chemical Exhibition, Heating and air conditioning, sanitary ware and urban construction equipment Exhibition (ISH), China International Fur and Leather Products Fair, Asia Products and Fashion Exhibition (ISPOBEIJING), China International Photographic Machinery Imaging Equipment and Technology Expo, Beijing International Audiovisual Integrated equipment and Technology Exhibition and other projects with greater influence. By the end of October 2014, the National Convention Center had received a total of 376 exhibitions.
Location:
The National Convention Center is located in Beijing North Fourth Ring Road, the core of the Asian Olympic business circle, 26 kilometers away from the capital airport, only 30 minutes by car, the traffic is extremely convenient.
From the National Convention Center to Tiananmen, the Summer Palace, the Great Wall, the Ming Tombs sightseeing tour or to the East Third Ring Road business District, Beijing Railway Station, Zhongguancun is also very fast.
Metro Line 8, which connects the city center, the train station and the airport, has a stop at the National Convention Center, and several bus lines pass through the National Convention Center.
Meeting
The National Convention Center has more than 100 meeting rooms of different sizes, which can accept more than 20,000 people for meetings at the same time, to meet the needs of multi-functional services such as conferences, banquets, performances, new product launches, and corporate events of different sizes. The largest hall is 6,400 square meters and can accommodate 5,100 people at the same time. The Grand Ballroom is 4,860 square meters and can accommodate 3,500 people for banquets.
Exhibition
The exhibition area of the National Convention Center has a total area of 40,000 square meters, divided into above-ground exhibition halls and underground exhibition halls. The above-ground exhibition hall covers an area of 22,000 square meters, and the interior space is 12 meters high, which is column-free and can be flexibly divided into 4 independent exhibition halls. The exhibition hall on the ground floor has a total area of 13,000 square meters and an interior height of 4.5 meters. In order to facilitate the construction of the booth, the standby devices such as water, electricity and compressed air in the exhibition area are set in the ground well. Trucks can also enter and exit directly from the large cargo gate located on the west side of the center, which is 4.8 meters high and 4.5 meters wide. A separate entrance for the audience is located on the east side of the center.
Catering
The National Convention Center's kitchen facilities can cater for more than 10,000 people at the same time. The French executive chef and Chinese chef, who have 30 years of experience in food and beverage work together to create a unique cuisine that blends Chinese and Western cultures. To meet the needs of various sizes and formats, catering services include: theme banquet, buffet, banquet set, cocktail party, tea break, take-out, business box meal, etc.
Hotel
The National Convention Center Hotel opened in September 2009 and was one of the hotels used by registered media during the Olympic Games. As a companion hotel to the National Convention Center, the hotel is connected to the National Convention Center through the air corridor, just a three-minute walk. [7] The hotel is 60 metres high, 16 stories high and has 420 rooms. The hotel has ordinary floors and executive floors, rooms are divided into superior rooms, executive deluxe rooms, executive suites, executive deluxe suites. All rooms provide broadband Internet access, dozens of international and domestic channels to choose from TV programs, safe, laundry and other facilities and services. Each room has a spacious floor-to-ceiling picture window, either overlooking the distance, or close to the Olympic Garden panoramic view.
Office building
The total office area of the National Convention Center is about 39,562 square meters, which is divided into three areas: South District, East District and North District. The total office area of the South District is about 7696 square meters, the East district is about 5989 square meters, and the North District is about 25,877 square meters.
